Thanks for the answers. I only felt sure of one answer, so I didn't bother commenting. I'm humbled to see that there were ones I really should have known. Oh well, there are worse things to happen.

mabfan and I have a tradition to watch 1776 every year on the 4th of July. I think I can quote the whole thing at this point.
