Springtime Rambly Bits

-- As the stegasaurus jumped from the President's Box at Ford's Theater, he yelled, "Sic Semper Tyrannosaurus!"

-- From Monday night's "Daily Show": "I'm old school. I'm very old school. I'm yeshiva!" -- Jon Stewart to Reggie Miller (soon to be formerly of the Indiana Pacers)

-- Heard on the radio yesterday: "Shmaltz is shmaltz until it gets on your shirt. Then it's shmutz."

-- Hey, [profile] beckyfeld! Was this your freshman year dorm?

-- It's been in the 50s/60s all week. Spring weather has finally come to the Boston area. Yay!

-- Does it say something that I've come to depend on the Sox to lose opening day?

-- Thanks to everyone who has participated in my syllable survey; stay tuned for a discussion of Mary/merry/marry. :-) Remember Judges chapter 12 verse 6. :-)

-- While you're at it, Remember the Maine. And the Alamo. And your house keys. :-)

It was on 'FNX yesterday, during the Swasey show, as part of Henry's Hotplate. Whoever the chef was this week said it. I was vastly amused.

Leider soll es “Sic semper tyrannosauris!” sein, weil tyrannosauris (wie tyrannis) dativ ist. Very very cute!

I hadn't realized "yeshiva" was so mainstream!
