Observational Rambly Bits

-- Very juicy navel oranges are a lovely addition to breakfast. Perhaps, however, they should not be consumed over the keyboard.

-- The caramel-filled Hershey's Kisses in the bowl on my desk are much more popular with my coworkers than are the original, milk chocolate variety.

-- One of these days, the Exploding Penguin on top of my monitor is going to get his revenge on the Plush Godzilla that has been menacing him all this time.

-- Today's weather -- sunny, high-60s to mid-70s -- is, in my mind, the perfect weather.

I thought you might enjoy this bit of free association inspired by your Hershey offerings. A friend of ours is, supposedly, the first Jewish prof hired by Yale Divinity School. At her interview some time ago, she was asked: "What is your spiritual center?" She said she checked her impulse to answer "chewy caramel" before going on to answer the question.

Hee! I love it! Thanks for sharing the free association!

(and, yes, there was a sale on exclamation points. Why do you ask?)

*observes that oranges and caramel thingees should not be eaten at the same time because ack*

I agree. The caramel thingies sit on my desk for coworkers exhibiting chocolate-seeking behavior.

The orange was all for me. Yum!

The Hershey's people are having fun lately - we try to keep an assortment of Kisses around for the customers. Have you tried the double-chocolate and white/dark combos?

I honestly don't like the caramel filled kisses as much as the others - the chocolate has a different consistancy more like a shell. My favorite are still the plain and the almond.
