Verizon tells us, "You are not worthy of phone service!"

In other words, our home phones (both the voice line and the old modem line) are out. So, if you need to reach us, please use our cell phone numbers.

Unfortunately, no. Though the repair guy I spoke to last night had a James-Earl-Jones-ish voice. Not nearly as deep and rich, though.

Nope. Though they did at first make us believe that it would be Tuesday before a tech could come out. I managed to convince them to send someone right before shabbat - between 4 and 8 on Friday.
