At least you weren't told, well, we're sorry but there's no way anyone is going to be able to help you until Monday, but your modem is clearly screwed. Have a nice day.

Nope. Though they did at first make us believe that it would be Tuesday before a tech could come out. I managed to convince them to send someone right before shabbat - between 4 and 8 on Friday.
