gnomiI've blathered to some of you about this already...
I've figured it out: being zapped by an Alien Zappy Thingy takes away your clothes. To wit:
-- Kal-El, having been zapped by the Alien Zappy Thingy that leaves him in the cornfield, is completely naked.
-- Lex is shirtless after being zapped by the Alien Zappy Thingy on the airplane.
-- Lana gets zapped by the Mysterious Alien Zappy Thing and the next time we see her she's naked in bed.
-- Clark, having been zapped by the Alien Zappy Thing in the cave, is shirtless.
My only theory is that aliens need clothing and are using their Zappy Things to take ours away.
