As I mentioned yesterday, we've got a problem with television on Wednesday nights because there are three things on at 9 PM that we want to watch. It occurred to me during the day yesterday that all was not lost, however. Y'see, we have a VCR in our storage area that is in perfectly fine working order except that its remote went missing a couple of years ago, therefore making it close to impossible to program (all the programming functions are on the remote). But I thought about it and figured that, if I replaced our two-way splitter with a four-way splitter, we could have not only the TV, the VCR, and the TiVo attached to the cable box, we could bring the spare VCR up from the basement and use it to record "Birds of Prey" (while the first VCR is getting "Twilight Zone" and the TiVo is getting "The West Wing"). I set it up last night, and it seems to work. Now all I need is to get a 1-to-2 splitter for the VCR cable so that I can connect it to the switcher box we have.
