Something in the air, I guess...
May. 16th, 2003 10:05 amI don't know what has prompted this, but a number of friends that I had lost contact with have been e-mailing recently, reestablishing contact. This is a wonderful thing, but I wonder why it's all happening at once. One of the people who wrote has not been in contact for close to three years; another is an old college friend with whom I've been less than good about keeping in touch with (totally my fault. Life gets busy, I forget to respond to e-mail, and then I feel guilty responding to 6-month-old e-mail); the third is an on-line friend with whom I've been corresponding for about 2.5 years. So it's not like they know each other, had lunch together, and said, "Hey, whatever happened to Nomi? We should e-mail and find out!"
Admittedly, one of them e-mailed right before Passover, so I have really got to write back to her before she thinks I fell off the planet. But the other two wrote this week.
Reestablishing contact is a lovely thing. I am so glad they did so (and that my e-mail address hasn't changed in 8 years, so I'm still findable :-) ).
