I wonder sometimes how much my pronunciation has been affected by the fact that I grew up in the South with a mother from Nebraska and a father from Milwaukee.
Also, thanks to so many years of hanging out with cops from small-town Arkansas, I immediately start twanging if I get pulled over. [Ah'm sorrah, officah. I had no ideah Ah was drivin' so fast.] Rest of the time? Nary a twinge.
