This Saturday Night -- Jewish A Cappella Fest @ KI

This Saturday night, mabfan and I will be attending the Second Annual A Cappella Fest at Kehillath Israel (384 Harvard St., Brookline, MA). The concert starts at 8. Tickets are $20 each (you can reserve ahead at the website, or you can pay at the door), and the profits go to support education for the Ethiopian immigrants in Haifa.

Beforehand, starting around 6:30, they're having a dinner provided by Ta'am China (for an additional $18).

If we had a reliable sitter (or, er, ANY sitter), we might both go, as the kids will be abed by 8 and how could we ever find an event closer to home? Instead, J and I might just have to fight to the death for the privilege. Which is silly, because with the other parent dead, the surviving parent can't go out without a sitter.

I'm coming; J is staying home. (I'm about to reserve my ticket now.) It would be kind of you to save a seat for me, as I am likely to be walking in right at 8:00, if not a few minutes late.

We'll do our best. But if there's any way you can get there just at 8:00 and not later, it might help since we have no idea how crowded it'll be. If you walk in late, we hopefully will have a seat for you but it may be difficult for you to find us.
