There's also a theory that newborns aren't even aware that their own crying comes from themselves. That is, they cry, they hear the noise, they aren't aware that they are the ones in fact making the noise, they are bothered by the noise, and then they cry more? Something like that.

Rosh Hashanah is upon me too soon as well, after a horrible summer that has led into a stressful fall; I haven't been able to get done most of the things I needed to before the end of the year and in preparation for the new one, even though I had planned in advance and originally had plenty of time.
