The (Snowy) Return of Rambly Bits

gnomi-- Thank you to everyone who - on-line and off-line - expressed their condolences after this entry. I greatly appreciate it.
-- Snow! Lots of snow. We walked to friends' for lunch through the falling snow (finding that few people along our route had shoveled) and then back through more falling snow (finding that even fewer people had shoveled during the intervening 3 hours). On Sunday, when we ventured forth from our home finally, we discovered (a) our car completely buried and (b) a gorgeous tableau of winter. So we went back inside, got the camera, and wandered our neighborhood taking photos.
-- Internet radio is a good thing. I'm listening now to a radio station out of Cincinnati, OH, and hearing all sorts of advertisements for things I'd be interested in attending if I lived anywhere nearby.

-- I've been knitting like crazy. I find it a good way to suppress the urge to fidget with whatever happens to be in front of me. And I'm appreciating the warmth of things I've knitted (such as the handy-dandy scarf I finished right before the snow squalls from earlier last week).
