Thoughts On Politicians and Moving

gnomiSo my company's contracting in terms of how much space we're taking up in our office building, and therefore there is much moving going on. My whole group (13 of us) is moving from the 14th floor down to the 13th floor, which wouldn't be so bad except for two things:
1. We've got a deadline of 30 September for _all_ of the books that we produce.
2. Professional movers were not hired for this job, so we're moving all our stuff ourselves.
So we're faced with tight deadlines and we're all losing at least one productive day's worth of time by having to move all our stuff. We're getting creative in figuring out how to move things, though - it was discovered (I don't remember by whom) that two moving crates stacked on top of each other are just the right height to allow us to slip our monitors off our desks and onto the stack of crates, thus keeping us from having to lift the really heavy 21 inch monitors. Which is a Good Thing.
I did my move on Thursday (so I was one big ache on Friday, but no big deal), and then Thursday night MAB and I went to hear the gubernatorial candidates speak at a local synagogue. All four of the Democratic candidates showed up; the one Republican did not. So what I ended up learning about the candidates' beliefs was that they all basically feel the same way about most issues, and they all want to beat the Republican come November. It was an interesting evening, but I still don't really know who I want to vote for (except I know I'm voting in the Democratic primary (note to non-Massachusetts readers: as an "unenrolled" (formerly "Independent," until the creation of the Independent Party of Massachusetts) voter, I can choose which party's primary I want to vote in. It's a weird little set-up, but I like it)). But it's going to be hard to figure out which of the four I should vote for...
