I started thinking something during last night's baseball game that began, "Twas Schilling, and the slippy gloves..."

Here's a stab... no pun intended

'Twas Mid-Earth, and the peacny hobbits
Did gyre and gimble in the Shire:
All whinesy were the Boromirs,
And the ring wraiths conspired.

"Beware the Balrog, Bilbo's son!
The eyes that glow, the whips that snatch!
Beware that Uruk-hai, and shun
The frumious Gollum (natch)!"

He took his elven sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he fled -
A rotcient bower near Ungol tower,
He borrowed for a bed.

And, as in foolish rest he stalled,
The Shelob-spawn, with fangs of slime,
Came sklattering through Cirith Ungol,
With burbling orcs behind!

One -- darn! Two -- blast! And o'er and past
The elven blade went whooshi-swish!
He's paralyzed, so with her prize
She went triumphing back.

"And hast thou snatched the Hobbit-thing?
Come to my arms, aracnish girl!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
The Uruk-hai did chirl.

I think my favorite Schilling one-liner came from Manny. I explained to him about the way they sewed Schilling's tendon in place by stitching his skin around it and he looked increasingly appalled as the explaination comtinued. When I finished by commenting, "The man has guts," he stared at me in mock horror and asked, "Where are *THEY*?!?!"
