Link-Suffused Rambly Bits
Feb. 11th, 2005 10:15 am-- I'm the eldest student in the class I'm taking. Occasionally, the teacher makes comments referencing things that I'm the only one that is old enough to remember (as an example, from Wednesday's class: [when talking about parallel parking] "You pull up even with the front car, roll down your window, and say, 'Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon?'"). I am quite amused.
-- Random movie-parody title thought (after seeing the special school-route version of the 66 bus go past every morning while waiting for the full-route 66): "Brighton Bus Memoirs"
-- Is refusing to eat carob on Tu b'shvat the Bokser Rebellion?
-- I listen to WFNX all day (yay for streaming audio) at work. They've got an ad they've been running a lot in anticipation of Valentine's Day for PajamaGram. Every time they play it, I start singing to myself: "The Pajama Gram/Is the Gram I'm in..."
-- You can bid on eBay to put your name (or another name of your choosing) on the Fleet Center. I've seen lots of good suggestions. Me, I'd probably want to name it "Fred" or somesuch, so it's a good thing I'm not entering the auction.
