Last night, over dinner, farwing, mabfan, and I decided that we should, on 20 May, observe Liza Doolittle Day. This, clearly, is why one should monitor how much "My Fair Lady" one's children are exposed to.

One evening the king will say:
"Oh, Liza, old thing,
I want all of England your praises to sing.
Next week on the twentieth of May
I proclaim Liza Doolittle Day!
All the people will celebrate the glory of you
And whatever you wish and want I gladly will do."

So, you heard it here first -- Friday, 20 May 2005, will be Liza Doolittle Day.

Sounds like a good idea. Let's see...'warm face, warm hands, warm feet...' well, in May those shouldn't be much of a problem. 'Lots of chocolate' should clearly be part of the plan. :)
