Well, if I can be positive of nothing else, I can be positive that my kitchen countertops will not be affected by alien mind control rays during the course of Pesach.

I find this oddly comforting.

Actually, what you have to worry about is the mind control rays from the gnomes in the hollow center of the earth. They’re usually pretty imprecise and diffuse, but if your countertops have foil on top of them, the foil will focus the rays, and your countertops will stand up and start groaning and shambling and looking for brains to eat. And I’m thoroughly goyish myself, but I strongly suspect brains aren’t pareve.

Fortunately, countertops don’t move very fast.
