Acquired for money:

-- One pair eyeglass frames (to replace broken frames)
-- One pair sunglasses (to wear over my contact lenses, since my eyes get really sensitive)
-- Two books (yeah, that was all; I was keeping luggage capacity in mind)
-- One baseball cap with New York City seal on it (to wear while walking the Brooklyn Bridge)

Acquired for free:

-- One snack-sized bag Famous Amos cookies, from LimoLiner (they handed out snacks; I was fasting, but I figured it was good emergency need-sugar-NOW food)

Unintentionally acquired:

-- One sunburn (on arms and neck-leading-toward-shoulders)
-- One funky suntan (stripes on feet between where the straps on my sandals lie)

Unexpectedly discovered:

-- Cash donated by Ima-of-[personal profile] gnomi at some since-forgotten point in history, found in laptop case while traveling back to Boston

I got one in Israel, I remember, and it didn't fade for quite a while after I came back to the States. I can't recall the last time I got one like this since then, though.

And, yeah -- unexpected money is always a lovely thing. I asked my mom, in case she had some sort of recollection, and she had no clue when she gave it to me, either. Which is odd, since there aren't many occasions when both (a) I'm carrying my laptop case and (b) my mother is around.

Eh, I consider it found money and thus to be used for fun purposes.

[personal profile] mabfan is bringing back others that we bought. But I bought only 2 paperbacks for me (though he has interest in one of them).
