Has anyone reading this LJ ever shot a rifle in a combat situation? If so, please let mabfan know -- he's looking for information for a story he's working on.

You know, getmeout's father might have. I'm under the impression that he was on the ground in Vietnam -- as opposed to my Dad who was in the air. Not much call for rifles up there :)
