Thanks to all who have responded to my poll. All of the voting and the commenting is very much appreciated.

For those who responded "What is this 'gefilte fish' thing of which you speak," an explanation is here. I like it with white horseradish (preferably my Ima's home-made stuff that'll clear your sinuses out from across the kitchen); my Abba has become enamored of it with wasabi or salsa, as well.

For those who wish for me to share recipes, do you have recipes in mind (from things I've posted in the past)? Or should I just start sharing my menus and recipes as of this Shabbat's meals?

Speaking of kosher recipes, I don't remember if I've given you this one, but it bears repeating:

Almond Pesach Macaroons

1 cup almond butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
dash vanilla

Preheat oven to 350. Grease a cookie sheet or two. Roll small (tablespoon-sized, maybe a little larger) balls of dough and space them evenly on the sheet. Press one whole (except the shell) almond on each ball and push gently to flatten it. Bake about 12 min. Makes, oh, I dunno, three dozen?

For the rest of the year, you can substitute peanut butter if you wish: just use a fork instead of whole almonds to flatten the cookies. Yes, no, I have not made a mistake: this cookie recipe has no flour.

Oh, yum. I'll have to make those for my mom, who is wheat-intolerant. Thanks for the recipe!
