So one of the books I'm assigned to write is for a piece of software that is just barely built. And I'm supposed to not only document the structure of the product's database but also provide configuration details for some stuff. Problem is, since the product is barely built (and barely conceptualized, honestly), I don't really have any resources from which to get the information I need. I was despairing, as our deadline of 30 September is approaching quite rapidly, and I was feeling like a clueless idiot because I couldn't figure out where the information I needed was hiding. Well, today I came back from having a lovely chat with
gem225 to find e-mail from my boss. Turns out that of the four things I couldn't find information on, two of them aren't going into this release of the product and the other two are encompassed within something I _do_ actually have information on. So now I'm feeling less clueless.
