Conversation Over Dinner Last Night

We had dinner last night with a friend of ours. As seems to be inevitable these days, conversation turned to current events, and the following exchange took place:

Friend: Now they're telling us that it was stupid to be protesting the war because we won. They don't seem to get that we weren't protesting saying "We are against the war 'cause we're gonna get our asses kicked."

Me: Yeah, 'cause we've got the whole US armed forces behind us, whereas they had the Republican Guard and the Fedayeen. That's like saying we've got the Incredible Hulk and they've got Hulk Hogan
