Not what I would've preferred... (Red Sox thoughts)

...but I'm not disappointed, either. Losing to the Yankees 6-5 in 11 innings is a reasonable outing in my mind. Yeah, they blew a lead, but that's not unheard of, even for teams that aren't the Red Sox. And they took the Yankees to 7 games in the ALCS for the first time since 1958, I believe. Not bad for a team that, at least for the first half of the season, had no bullpen it could rely on.

All in all, a good season for the Sox. Maybe next season will be even better.
