So I'm sitting with Squeaker while she procrastinates her way through dinner. At one point, I notice that there are pieces of hot dog under her piece of pita that she may not realize are there. "There's some hot dog under your pita," I tell her.

"Under hot dog pita," she acknowledges.

Meanwhile, Muffin has learned "one time" for "one more time" (example: "Muffin do it one time" when we have told her to stop whatever activitynshe is engaged in). I wonder if this is more toddler syntax or if she learned the phrase from the girls' Trinidadian babysitter.
