Culinary:	Cheese puffs (the garishly orange ones)	They weren't available kosher for a very long time. Now that they are, I find I have to indulge periodically.
Literary:	Fluffy romances (think Nora Roberts' series romances)	They're good mind candy when my brain is full.
Audiovisual:	"The Truth About Cats & Dogs"	It makes me laugh. And Ben Chaplin's easy on the eyes.
Musical:	Early 80s pop	Reminds me of friends I had from Community Boating that I've lost touch with.

You did CBI? That's where I learned to sail. Never made it past Solo and Jib certification, though.

beckyfeld and I each did CBI for many, many summers. Learning to sail for $1 for the whole summer? Best deal around.

Oh, yeah. I only did about three years -- I didn't find out about it until I was 15 -- but loved it.

The Charles River has some of the worst wind conditions you'd ever want to sail in -- variable winds randomly shifting directions, and bouncing off of buildings -- which means that, if you learn to sail there, you can sail anywhere.

Sailing in a windtunnel, yeah. I used to periodically do some racing at CBI, and we'd have problems because the wind changed direction every time a Red Line train went over the Longfellow.

I once lost a pair of glasses to the river at CBI.
