Is Coco Crisp kosher for Pesach?

(thanks to [personal profile] tiptoe39 for the post that prompted me to wonder about this)

I put up a box of Cocoa Krispies in my cube and put Coco Crisp's picture on it. So, I have a handy reference.

First, he's clearly kitniyot as he's made of rice and contains corn syrup as well as high fructose corn syrup.

Second, he contains malt flavoring. It doesn't say malt, but malt flavoring. So, is it possible that the malt flavoring does not come from hops? Tough question.

I don't think he's kosher for Passover, but since he's not Jewish, it shouldn't be a problem for fans.

However, Kevin Youkilis is Jewish, so he would not be able to play during chol hamoed pesach with Coco Crisp should Yuke be observant.

How could you mark such important questions as silly?!?

I'm trying to find a kosher for Pesach Cheerios-type cereal to keep M happy during Sedar. LOL

Such a cereal has been available for better part of a decade. The taste is even approaching edible. Google is your friend, or at least a nice acquaintance.

I'm not so sure that the test is approaching edible.

How old is M?

Ahhh. Fresh fruit is always good. Matzah crackers may work.
