For the "Star Wars" Purists

Radio Free Dianora reports that the original Star Wars Trilogy is coming out on DVD in September. The article says it's a limited-time thing, ending, I note, right after the Christmas-related buying rush.

The article does not say whether the first one is called "A New Hope" or "Episode Four: A New Hope," however.

When it first was released, it was titled just Star Wars.

Yes, but the original in theater release had A New Hope at the top of the scroll up. The re-release had Episode IV: A New Hope.

Oh, yes. I saw it in the theaters twice, I believe. And then when it came out on VHS, many, many more times. And then in 1997 when they were rereleased in the theaters, mabfan and I went and saw all 3 again.

But didn't the crawl at the start of the movie have the title "A New Hope," just without the "Episode IV" before it?
