gnomiConversation occurred over Shabbat dinner, at the home of some friends. Immediately upon hearing this exchange, one of the other guests said that one of us had to post it.
Setup: Our hostess was talking about a guy she knew who chose a woman to date based on the Jewish high school she attended.
Her: ...because he knew if he married a girl from there, she'd have been taught to serve him.
mabfan: (turns to gnomi) Hey! Why didn't you learn to serve me?
gnomi: Because I went to Maimonides!
