When I went to get my lunch out of the fridge at work, I brought my breakfast dishes, which still needed washing. I went to the sink, where someone had put the large platters that had held the meeting snacks from yesterday's all-hands meeting, and my first thought was, "I hope they don't want to keep those pareve, since I'm about to wash my milchig dishes over them." I then realized that I was the only one in the Cambridge office at the moment who would care if the trays were pareve (and, since some of them had contained treyf snacks, it didn't really matter one way or the other).

I? Am sometimes an odd duck.

Er -- there are occasions when you aren't an odd duck?

I don't know about the "duck" part, but I'll go with "odd"... ;-)

In March, I'll give it a shot!

In the meanwhile, I'll tell you that in Hebrew, a duck says "ga-ga!"

oh! The she's been speaking hebrew since she was about two months old!

And if she can't say some reasonable facsimile of "quack" by March I'll be worried. LOL
