Tell me what to knit!

So, I have acquired from
magid a cone of what is speculated to be a wool-mohair blend, fingering- or sport-weight (it knits up at 7 stitches per inch on US 2s) yarn. There's estimated to be about 1,000 yards (if not more) on the cone. Now, I could knit multiple pairs of gloves or multiple pairs of socks, but I'm not sure. So, I appeal to the knitters (and others) reading this. What should I knit out of it? Its color is close to the Beige Meliert here.
Links to free online patterns always accepted, but general categories are good, too. :-)

With a thousand yards, you really should do something major, like a sweater!
