Continuing from last night's post:

[profile] 530nm330hz asked for "Knitting projects, both in process and completed"

Sweater for Shoshana

Sweater (completed) for the daughter of friends of ours (knit in Lion Brand Wool-Ease Chunky)

Feather and Fan scarf on needles

Feather-and-Fan scarf currently on needles (knit in lace-weight alpaca)

[personal profile] tsuki_no_bara asked for "something red sox-y"

Sox 2004 Commemorative SI

The 2004 World Series commemorative edition of Sports Illustrated

[personal profile] ephemera asked for "where you sit when you're on the computer (or what you see around you when you're here)." Since I have two primary locations, I took shots of both.

Home Workspace 2

My home machine and environs

cube_may_07

My cube at work

(and, yes, I really do know where everything is in my less-than-pristine spaces. I may be clutter-prone, but it's organized clutter.)

[personal profile] ragingpixie asked for "a piece of religious jewelry, if you have any"

Magen David Necklace

I don't have a lot of religious jewelry, but this Magen David necklace was given to me by my sister a couple of years ago.

I'm still working on the last couple of requests; I'll post those photos when I've got 'em.

!!!!! so pretty! I have a similar necklace, and I love it because it's silver

I don't wear a lot of jewelry, and the stuff I do wear tends to be on the more simple side. This necklace really appeals to my esthetic. It helps that my sister knows my style better than I do (she's been my "fashion insultant" since she was in high school and worked in a clothing store).

The penguin is a Penguin for your Television (http://www.dailyllama.com/spam/games/images/toyvault_penguin.jpg). And, yes, it "explodes." I can take a photo of him in his exploded state, if you wish.

I apparently forgot the camera at home today, so I won't be able to post it until Sunday night, but I'll take a pic of sploded-pengie tomorrow.

ooh, I have the same SI. I also have the one with the Bellhorn cover from the week before. Which I got autographed by Dave Roberts (odd story, ask me if you want to hear).

ohh - I love the feather-and-fan - it's so delicate looking!

And now I can imagine you sitting there, reading this. *cyber stalks you in my mind*

I've been working on the feather-and-fan forever, it sometimes feels like. I had it with me at EPIC. The yarn is so fine that it takes a while to feel like I've gotten any significant progress done.

And, yes... my work cube today looks just about like it does in that picture, down to the cereal bowl, coffee cup, and water bottle. :-)

:::::nods:::::

I've been working on a lace-weight baby blanket since December and it does take forever. To illustrate the point, the baby in question arrived in late April! If I'm lucky, he'll have it before he's a year old.

I've done a couple of DK-weight baby blankets in basketweave, and they always take much longer than I originally think.

Okay, did I miss the day that you offered to take pictures of things?

Maybe? It was last Monday or so. Offer's still open, though. Tell me what you want and I'll see if I can get a picture of it.
