..."Wifm," pronounced "Whiff-em."

What's
In it
For
Me?

As in, "The wifm for you is less time waiting for a response."

::sigh::

you can't just say "the benefit to you is..."? i mean, that sentence doesn't even make SENSE. and it sounds incredibly stupid.

The guy must've said it about 5 times over the course of 45 minutes.

he was clearly proud of his incomprehensible word. did anyone raise their hand and go "uh... excuse me, but what the fuck is 'wifm' and why do you keep saying it?"

He actually used it, defined it, and then continued to use it.

is a radio station, not English.

On the Frequency Modulation dial, clearly.

"You're listening to WIFM, 95.2 FM!"

Well, at least he didn't use a complete acronym: wiifm looks like gaming radio.

I almost came to whinge about it to you, but then I figured you might've been in the NRC/RCs meeting.

I was stuck in that one. Which actually went much better than the 7am ones.
Did "WIFM" come up in today's 7am meeting? Because I spaced out and missed it if it did. I spent a lot of the early meeting practicing writing left handed, but I was following the flow of content (It's new dude argueing with voice on the speakerphone...It's stll new dude argueing with voices on the speakerphone...It's...bah...).

Actually, the meeting was the one that was the HR kickoff thingy. It was, thankfully, only 45 minutes long, rather than the 2 hours it had been scheduled for, but one of the two guys giving the presentation kept using WIFM.

No, it didn't come up in any of the design review meetings.
I figured that they were all more fun than the other two, so I stayed put.

You know, my brain keeps coming up with things that WIFM might stand for, and pretty much all of them should not be included on a page that you read at work. The G-rated versions include questions such as "Who is fondling me?" and "Who is the friggin moron?"
