A coworker was in a bicycle accident over the weekend. He's fine, and he's in the office, and all that good stuff. And I can't help myself... I have this overwhelming urge to ask him if he came to a sudden arboreal stop.

One of the things I loved about my father is illustrated by the following anecdote. We were once in a car accident when I was about 19. We were rear ended on the BQE. No one was hurt apparently (though I had some mild whiplash later in the day). As we were standing on the BQE dealing with things I turned to him and said, "Have an accident?" And he said "No thanks. I already had one."
