What's Opera Doc is on the video, The Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner Movie. There has to be something going on between Bugs and Elmer Fudd. Bugs is always dressing as a woman, and Elmer is always falling for him!
Ooh, thanks. I'll have to see if my local video store carries it (I know Amazon does - I looked once I saw your post - but I'm afraid of the Slippery Slope of Amazon).
I think cross-dressing rabbits are a bit out of my sphere of expertise. But you're right - Bugs does put on a skirt relatively frequently for a male bunny. :-)
I have that movie on tape, and I will copy it for you, as we talked about on the phone tonight - a copy for you and Michael, and another copy, for another person. :-)
Ok, every once in a while, I'll run my name through a search engine (just to see the various ways I'm being exploited on the internet...no progress, as of yet), and when I searched for "Nomi AND livejournal," I got you instead of me. I wasn't even LISTED, but no bitterness there. Anyway, what struck me as interesting was that you started your user name with a "g" before the "n", and I don't know if you've noticed, but >>I<< do that, too!
So, my name is Nomi. And your name is Nomi. Two Nomi's, as it were. Lord help us all.
I've been using "gnomi" as a login since college, since (for some reason) people had trouble pronouncing "Nomi" - I got /nawmee/ and /no-ami/ too frequently. So, figuring that people could pronounce "gnome" just fine, I stuck a g on the front of my name.
It's always great to find additional Nomis out in the world. I know a bunch of Naomis (some of whom use Nomi as a nickname) but very few actual Nomis.
Hey! We should start a club! We'll call it ISON, the International Sisterhood of Nomi's.
...Though I guess I should clarify something. You see, I'm a Nomi, alright, but only after I fixed my name around a little. It's actually got two more letters in there, but I found that by dropping them, I instantaneously avoid such gross pronunciations as "NoHEma", and "NoAHmi", and "NeHOmo". As you can see, I had valid reasons for adopting the abbreviated version. It makes life a little simpler, that's why.
I, too, forceably removed letters from my name (actually just one letter). I actually went to the court to do it, too, so that my legal name would be "Nomi" and all my paperwork could read "Nomi." I did this while I was in early high school, so I needed my parents' permission, but they were fine with it.
