Hee hee...I do that in my head a lot. I think the wrongest one was when I was in the first-floor kitchen in Senior House at MIT and saw that someone had scrawled upon the wall, "I hate myself and want to die," and all I could think was, "...doo-dah, doo-dah!"
I started doing that incessantly several years ago, driving michelel72 insane. At one point, we were hiking on Blue Hill and standing on the overlook, and I asked which direction we were facing. She pointed and said, "South Shore Plaza's over there." I said, "Doo-dah." She responded, "Beat you with a shovel now."
A couple of weeks later, in the grocery store, she pointed out a newspaper headline and sang, "Deadly trawler may be found." I looked at her in amazement that she would stoop to my level, and she sang, "You only have yourself to blame."
So, I supposed you've noticed that Boston University is a doo-dah...
