Yet Another "No, Really, We Talk Like This" -- Meteorological Edition

Scene: mabfan and gnomi are walking to shul at about 8:15 this morning.

gnomi: It looks like snow. Don't you think it looks like snow?

mabfan: No.

gnomi: But look around! Trees are brown! And the skies are a hazy shade of winter!

mabfan: See those clouds? Those are cirrus and cumulus clouds. If they were nimbostratus clouds, I'd expect snow.

gnomi and mabfan walk a bit further. It starts to flurry.

gnomi: See? I told you! Look around. Trees are brown. There's a patch of snow on the ground. Look around. Trees are brown. And the skies are a hazy shade of winter!

mabfan: Now those are nimbostratus clouds! But I was using science to predict the weather. You were using pop lyrics!
