There is always too much chometz and never enough narf in Purim baskets.

My wife insists on giving only kosher l'pesach packaged goods in her baskets - fresh baked goods that must be eaten or thrown out in a week are ok, but anything good for the long term must be kosher l'pesach. I always thought she was crazy, but it looks as though she might be on to something.

Well, I answered 'all of the above', as I like chocolate and baked goods, either with or without fruit :-), and figure there is likely always too much chametz this close to Pesach. And, as already noted, never enough narf, at any time.

(Mind you, while I thought I knew the meanings of the terms (chametz and Pesach), I looked them up just to be sure. I was right, but the need to look them up likely says something about my answers :-)

We always gave little bottles of kosher for passover grape juice, but we also gave unshelled peanuts, raisins and oranges so I guess it balanced out. Also, hamantashen.

In my mind, those little monolith-shaped sesame-brittle candies are traditional. Is that just in my family?

You know how I feel about the egg shape :).

It's not like there's a huge call for cross-shaped chocolate (at least not where I shop -- I presume if I went to the uber-Christian store I could find some -- though they did not have godmother birthday cards when I had to hunt for one of those, so perhaps not).

Oh, and in addition to my beloved peanut butter eggs, the Dove Truffle eggs? Also Kosher. See the sacrifices I make for you :).

I think of those as one of my mom's favorite "special candies for Passover."
