You know those friends with whom you can see yourself staying up all night and giggling and talking, having the functional equivalent of a slumber party even though you haven't been part of a slumber party since you were a teenager?

I'm lucky to have a number of those.

We should have a big slumber party. Although little slumbering would actually get done.

Slumbering is a funny word. It's a combination of cutting wood and sleeping, which in my experience do not go well together.

Although I guess if you were a zombie it would be ok -- although zombies are often said to be shambling, not slumbering...
