Yesterday, I went and purchased two different possible closures for my sweater. And now I have to figure out which one to use

Both Closures on Sweater Front Fabric

Silver Frog on Sweater Fabric

Silver Clasp on Fabric

Silver Frog Alone

Silver Clasp Alone

i've had that clasp on my sca cloak (heavy wool) for about 10 years. it is awesome

they're both lovely, but i'd be nervous about the metal clasp pulling at the stitching leaving you holes gaping. but then i'm not a knitter. is that stitching as dense as it looks? might be a nonissue, then.

I have the same or similar clasps on a sweater I bought in Norway in the late 80s and I still adore the sweater and clasps.

the clasp. the frog is too big to my mind's eye to be in the right proportion for a sweater. i'm afraid it would dominate the seater front.

They are both lovely.
The frog is more casual looking while the clasp is more elegant.

I'd be afraid the clasp might pull at the stitches. If it's a tight enough knit that it's not an issue, go with the clasp.
