gnomi: (MooTour_2006)

For those of you who remember Cow Parade Boston and MooTour 2006, I now bring you New Hampshire Moose Parade.

Unlike the cows, who were, for the most part, located within a relatively small area, the Moose appear to be all over the state of New Hampshire, making anything approaching a MooseTour not at all feasible. But there are photos on the website.

Thanks to [personal profile] mabfan for the link, who got it from a friend's locked post.

But the video says that they'll be displaying all the moose in Manchester at a festival before the moose disperse. You won't be able to make that?

There were also Pigs on Parade in Seattle a couple of years back celebrating Pike Place Market's centennial.

It appears that my veterinarian has one of the cows. There's a large, painted cow on their front lawn, surrounded by planted flowers.

For the seventh summer in a row, the city of Racine, Wisconsin has given over its downtown to a whimsical display of temporary statuary. Past themes have been dogs (2002), cats (2003), bears (2004), fish and otters (2005), birds and birdbaths (2006), and lighthouses (2007). This year's theme is "Sphere Madness."

See <http://www.racinedowntown.com/2008publicartevent-spheres.html> for details, including photographs of all the spheres.
