I have a serious tangle/knot in the yarn I'm currently working with. And so I poll:

Cut it out and re-tie. Nobody will ever be able to tell.

I realized that I am really the only one who would notice, so I strongly considered snipping and retying.

In the end, though, I was stubborn and worked at the tangle until I got it undone.

I enjoy the puzzle of trying to undo a snarl.

I am an untangling masochist. If I were physically closer to your yarn, I would untangle it for you.

In the end, I kept at it until I had it all untangled. I was determined/stubborn, and I had the satisfaction of having untangled it at the end. :-)

I'm all for cutting the Gordian knot. I'm going to take this opportunity to plug my new favorite join: the back join.

In the end, I got it untangled, but I strongly considered snipping it.

And thanks for the link to the back join. I'll have to look at it more closely and wrap my brain around it.

No more weaving in ends! WOOT!

I find detangling soothing, however long it takes, but that's just me.

I ended up detangling it all, but at one point I was worried that all the machinations required to untangle the knot would fray the yarn too much, and that was part of the impetus for the poll.

I like detangling, most of the time. I find the challenge fun, trying to figure out how to unknot it all.

Ah, see, that makes a lot of sense. No point in avoiding cutting if it means fraying the thing, but it sounds like you did a great job with it!

I was, I must say, remarkably pleased with myself when I got it all untangled.
