mabfan's book launch went extremely well. Saw lots of people. Sold lots of books.

It was wonderful to see all the folks we saw. Sorry we missed those who couldn't make it. Thanks to those of you who pitched in to make the setup and tear down go so smoothly.

I haven't read LJ since Friday at about 2 PM. Last I looked, I was at skip = 600, and I highly doubt I'm going to be able to catch up. Please let me know here if there's anything I should see.

And now I fall-over-go-boom.

Yay, book launch! Sorry we were too far away to get there. But even if it had been around the corner, I'd've been stuck. I sprained my ankle badly on Saturday and am not going anyplace for awhile. :-/ (Two entries ago on my LJ is a pic of one of our kitties tentatively sniffing at the crutches.)

On a lark, I entered IRTF on my county library's "Suggest a Book" page. To my pleased surprise, I got a note just a couple of days later that they were ordering it, and I should watch the online catalog for its arrival. I had expected the typical wishy-washy "thank you; we're taking your suggestion under advisement" response. Can I just say I'm loving my library right now?

Obviously, I won't need to on my own behalf, as our copy is coming in the mail shortly--but I'm thrilled that readers in Loudoun County will get a chance to.
