When they do the July 4 flyover at the Esplinade, the planes continue westward and we can see them over our house a few seconds later (we always rush outside as soon as we see the flyover on TV).
According to the article, this one is going south to north.
We used to be able to hear the ones doing the Esplanade flyover from our old place; we'll find out on Shabbat if we can hear them in our new place.
And I think that part of the motivation for getting the news out about the flyover today is to forestall an issue like the one they had in NYC a couple of months ago.
