Heeee! We are also great believers in this system. As the first parents in the family's 20-30 something generation, we got to start many items off on their long, fruitful journeys from household to household.

And we even got the big stuff back to re-use for #2.

And then back into circulation it went. As for the clothing...yea, there are some years where we didn't buy hardly ANYTHING in clothing.

This is a great article that I think a lot of ppl will relate to, nice job!

Thank you! I had a blast writing it.

And, yes. Things have been known to travel a circle, ending up back with the original family in time for the next kid.

And you have some clothes that went from my elder niece to my boychik and back to my twin nieces and then to my girlochka and then to you. :)

In the immortal words of Dr. Seuss:

I would nurse him here or there; I would nurse my currently hypothetical son anywhere. Even on a pink pillow.

You spelled my daughter's name right. :-) Also, we have more clothes.

Yay! (do people frequently misspell it?)

And we'll happily take whatever you wish to pass along.

Yes, we see a lot of "Alyssa". What sizes?

Ah. I can see that.

They're in 18-24 months now, so anything 18 months to 2T if it's winter clothes would be good.

It is nice when that works out. We've been very grateful for all the stuff our friends with slightly older babies have handed down to us, and we're now starting to pass some of it onward.

Katie will be adding a ton of socks to the collection shortly. The pile is currently growing again, but she's at a standstill on the 18 month/24 month pant problem. There will likely be a couple of 24 month dresses, though, that she's outgrowing (I know it makes no sense to me either).

Most of our boy clothes go to Jean and Beth :)
