My Brain is Sometimes a Weird Place*

Recently, mabfan and I have been in the mood for some old Stargate: SG-1 episodes. So we watched "1969" last week, and on Monday or Tuesday night we watched both "2010" and "200." (Clearly we are stuck in the "titles that consist of digits" mode.) (except I seem to recall we watched "Window of Opportunity, as well.) And I kept having issues with actors that I now know in other roles playing roles in SG-1. The big one? Mozzie. What's the long con he's pulling on Jack and everyone else? What is in it for him to be playing the role of an alien who is now a Hollywood producer? And why is he casting Finn Hudson to play a young Cameron Mitchell?

OK, I clearly need to go and look up some SG-1 episodes. :)

Willie Garson ("Mozzie" from White Collar) is in "200," as is Cory Monteith ("Finn" on Glee). And it's a fun episode even if you don't know the show too well, especially if you know SF/F movie and TV tropes.

Oh yes, I'm very familiar with White Collar, and I *thought* I was familiar with SG-1. So I'm surprised at myself that I don't remember Willie Garson being in SG-1.

He was in as couple of episodes; he played a character named Martin Lloyd (we first meet him in the episode "Point of No Return," which I believe was in season 4).

Ha! 200 is one of the few SG1 eps I've seen (for the Farscape references) and now I'm tempted to watch it again. Mozzie! He was probably investigating some of his conspiracy theories...

I just rewatched 200 yesterday, and I was also delighted to see Finn before he was famous! I always like that, the sense that whoever cast the extras had a good eye for talent.
