Power to the People?

10:47 AM: power dip

1:48 PM: power dip

2:42 PM: power dips three times then stays off

9:17 PM: power returns

9:31 PM: power gone again

11:37 PM: power back

After a while, NSTAR Electric was only taking reports of electrical emergencies, for which "we're the only block on the street that's still in the dark" doesn't qualify. The only estimate they were willing to make regarding power coming back was "contact us if your power has not been restored by Tuesday."

Here's hoping it's still up as of this morning. We got lucky -- we never even had a power dip. But when the storm was over and we drove through town on our way to dinner, we discovered that there were plenty of neighborhoods that were suspiciously dark.

Sorry to hear that! I wish they realized that small children and no power should count as more of an emergency.
