...and want to have my friends make decisions for me, I bring you yet another "Tell [personal profile] gnomi What to Do" moment:

Brownies for dessert tonight. Dairy meal. Thus, real ice cream to go with the brownies. They've got pecans and chocolate chips in them. What flavor ice cream should I get to go with?

(I need a decision before 2 PM, so any comments after that will be taken into account for later brownies)

ETA: In the end, they didn't have anything in the praline/butter pecan family. So we ended up buying one pint of vanilla, one pint of mint chip, and one pint of mocha almond. Thanks, all, for your suggestions.

I'm always in favor of really good vanilla ice cream to go with brownies.

I don't know if it's kosher, but if it is- Paul Newman's Pistol Packin' Prailine Pecan ice cream.

if it's not kosher, I'm truly sorry. and you should go for a really good vanilla.

Vanilla ice cream would be my choice. Enjoy your brownies and whatever ice cream you pick, my friend. :-)

Five for vanilla!

If you *must* be different, butter pecan also works with brownies. But vanilla is best.

While I'm also on the Vanilla bandwagon, Haagen-Dazs has a nice Rum Raisin or a Caramel either of which would go nicely :). I know most of theirs are kosher though not sure about these two....

Go for anything Praline or Butter Pecan. If possible, vanilla base or chocolate swirl. :)

I would do butter pecan or chocolate chip, to tie it back to the brownies...

Good vanilla works in a variety of applications, but I would suggest something more creative. Butter pecan, butterscotch, or even peach would seem to work well. Yeah, I'd probably go with the peach if I were doing this; chocolate, nuts, and fruit complement each other nicely.

Make it a fleishig meal and bake parve brownies and bring the others to work.
