Temporal Analysis of my Friends List
Apr. 20th, 2004 10:34 pmOK, so maybe not a "temporal analysis." But it sounds better than "geeky look at my friends list by decade in which I first encountered the person," right?
So...in a fit of "why not," I looked through my friends list to see how long I've known you all.
By decade, I met the majority of you in the 90s and 00s. Those I met in the 90s I met primarily through either college or science fiction fandom. Those I met in the 00s, I've met mostly through SF fandom (again) or online. Some of you that I met in the 00s I've never actually met in person (though I have met the majority of you at least once).
There are four people on my friends list whom I've known since the 1980s and two that I've known since the 70s.
Regardless of when I met you, or how often we've met in person, or anything like that, I'm pleased and proud to know all of you.
(and tonight is the 15th night of the Omer)
