-- An observation: A cold, windy, rainy day is the worst time for there to be no working traffic lights at the intersection of Broadway and Third Street in Kendall Square.

-- A question (for those of you who do such things): In comments/IM/whatever, do you tend to set action descriptions off in asterisks or double-colons (thus, are you more likely to type *hugs* or ::hugs::)? Incredibly geeky Nomis want to know.

ETA: All this talk of asterisks in comments reminds me of a ditty I believe I first learned from my father when I was a kid (hey, beckyfeld, do you remember it, too?):

I read "Rambly Bits" as "Dangly Bits" at first. I doubt that's a huge surprise to you. *g*

I use asterisks most of the time, but sometimes for hugs I use parentheses around the person's name, as so: {{{Nomi}}}.

Interesting use of parentheses for hugs; I don't think I've seen that frequently (though now that you mention it, I know I've seen you use it).
