OK, so I've been seeing two different but related memes going around this week, and I've decided to be contrary and combine them. Thus:

-- Want me to rant about something? Pick a topic, and I'll see what I can do about ranting about it.
-- Alternately, not so much in the mood for a rant? Want me to rave about something? Pick a topic, and I'll rave about it.

Please tell me which you want -- a rant or a rave. If you do not specify which one you want, I'll do whichever tickles my fancy (and I do warn you that leaving me to my own devices can be a scary, scary thing).

Discuss having contractors who have been contractors for so long that everyone assumes they're regular employees and are terribly surprised when the contract ends and they leave the company.
